Sustainable / Positive Travel with Kununurra Visitor Centre
At the Kununurra Visitor Centre, we believe travel should leave a positive impact. The “Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints” quote used around the world is a quote that we use regularly when encouraging visitors to explore the East Kimberley with care and respect — for Country, culture, and community.
Our initiative is small, but effective! Use of biodegradable rubbish bags, supplied by Main Roads WA and use of large rubbish bags/tongs and gloves under the Keep Australia Beautiful program, are provided free of charge to our visitors.
When booking your tours and experiences through us, you are not just planning a great adventure — you’re also supporting local environmental projects and First Nations cultural programs. We offer eco-friendly travel tips, reusable products, and access to experiences that give back to the region.
We can all do better – Together!
