Travel into remote Aboriginal Communities

Please travel responsibly – help keep our Aboriginal communities safe.

Before entering into or travelling through a remote Aboriginal community, visitors should contact the community to find out whether it has its own entry requirements.

Travelling to Kalumbaru, visitors first need a permit to travel through the Aboriginal Land, which can be obtained though the following link: Kalumbaru Permits. On arrival into Kalambaru or Honeymoon Bay, a pass will need to be need to be purchased personally at the local stores.

Visitors travelling to Mitchell Falls will need to purchase an Uunguu Visitor Pass that gives Traditional Owner permission to visit the approved locations on Wunambal Gaambera Country. Passes can be purchased at Drysdale River Roadhouse, at Munurru and Mertens Campgrounds or using the following link: Uunguu Visitor Pass
