The Campdraft runs from 1st-4th August and the Rodeo is Saturday 3rd August.

If you have never been to a rodeo, it's a great day for all! It is truly an amazing experience full of, as they say, ‘Big bulls, big cash prizes and big falls!'

It’s a contest of awesome skill and bravery dating back to the 1800s and attracts competitors from all over the Kimberley and Northern Territory. The Kununurra Rodeo is a serious competition with the chance to watch local cowboys try to ride the longest 8 seconds of their life on the spectacular saddle bronc, bull and bullock rides. 

It’s also a wonderful glimpse into the lifestyle and characters that live in the Kimberley and many of the attendees are from the region, so it’s a great chance to meet and mingle with the locals, who are relaxed and having fun and generally in very good form.
