Valentine Spring - Barndawooba
Overview
Valentine Spring is located 19km from Kununurra, down Valentines Road (turn off Victoria Highway 12km west of Kununurra). This site has a seasonal pool that is part of the Valentines Creek, which runs into the Ord River.
Local Miriwoong people traditionally used this pool for hunting, fishing, collecting bush food and camping.
Occasionally Saltwater Crocodiles can be found in this area. Swimming is not recommended.
Location & Directions
Head west from Kununurra for 12km and turn into Valentines Road (turn off Victoria Highway) for a further 7km.
