Flickerfest began as a small local festival at Balmain High School in 1991. Over the last 28 years, it has grown to become Australia's only Academy accredited and BAFTA recognised competitive International Short Film Festival with entries coming from filmmakers across the glove.
Flickerfest will present films at over 50 venues Australia wide and Kununurra Picture Gardens (KPG) is proud to have been part of this festival for 7 years!
The KPG is a uniquely Kimberley experience - an outdoor cinema where you can pull up in your ute with a beanbag/swag/couch (we've seen them all) and watch a movie under the stars, whilst your mates are in the next row in their deck chairs on the amazing lawn! You never quite know what will happen when you come along to the cinema.
