Overview
The Argyle Homestead Museum offers a fascinating insight into the lives of the early pioneers in the Kimberley. Walk through the relocated 1890s former home of the Durack's, who were a prominent pastoral family in the region.
The Argyle Homestead Museum is located at Lake Argyle, just 70km from Kununurra and just a few hundred metres from Lake Argyle Resort.
Opening Hours: Monday to Sunday: 8am to 4pm, April to September inclusive.
Locally owned and operated by Kununurra Visitor Centre.
Location & Directions
From Kununurra, head east 35km to Lake Argyle Road, turning right and heading in another 35km. From the East, head 7km from the NT/WA border and turn left, and travel another 35km to the museum.
